Recently there has been a rat problem through some areas in Meridian Place . The following are tips DHEC asked to share with Meridian Place owners
as helpful preventative solutions for everyone to use.
- Pull pine straw away from the house.
- Don't feed dogs or cats outside.
- NO bird feeders.
- Barbeques need to be degreased and left open in sunshine (rats hate light).
- Put trash in can not outside of can.
Rats look for water sources such as the saucers around the plants, bird baths, dripping faucets etc.
